Phase #1 – buildout and install

Below, another big project is coming together in the shop: fabricating and installing a custom steel and stone staircase. This one was a beast, but the final product is worth every hour put in.

We started with the steel framework, cutting, welding, and grinding each piece to ensure a precise fit. Once the structure was solid, it was time to move it into place—no small feat, given the weight. With some careful rigging and a lot of teamwork, we got it set and secured.

Phase #2 will involve installing the custom-cut stone treads. Each piece will have to be measured, cut, and set with precision, making sure they fit seamlessly while maintaining the rugged aesthetic the owner wanted. Once everything is in place, a rock-solid staircase will blend industrial strength with natural beauty.

Seeing it all come together is one of the most rewarding parts of the process. Can’t wait for phase #2!
